Bear hide is too tough and thick for a zombie to damage even slightly. A pack of wolves would make quick work of a zombie horde in my opinion. Well actually what would happen is that the zombie horde would keep trying to chase the wolves but the wolves would keep running away. The horde would never get close. Wolves have really tough skins too and they are really freaking huge. Then you have zoo animals which would inevitably escape. A single bull African elephant or rhino would decimate a zombie horde and not take any damage. Most animals are so fast that they'd never actually be caught. It kind of bugs me in zombie films where you see like a single zombie chomping down on a rabbit or something. Have you ever tried to catch a wild rabbit or hare with your bare hands? It's impossible. There's certainly no way a zombie could do it. The only creatures that would suffer from zombies are humans. All other creatures could easily run away. |

I agree. Most animals would just carry on like normal. If I had the ability, I'd hold up in a place where I could use nature's deadliest predators as my defense, like crocodiles, tigers, etc. I wouldn't have too much need for ammunition, then. Of course, that's quite a bit unrealistic. |

I would go to either the retail park in the city(it's not quite in it quite far out, less people) and go to the sports shop for some golf clubs. Imagine how good a nice titanium driver would be, few irons too. Zombie heads would be done. Bicycle for relatively silent transport too. Could make some kind of fort in Homebase months after the apocalypse started most people probably wouldn't have such a Also got my air rifle to begin with. Genuinely the only reason I'm keeping it... I think I could last until old age was my downfall, unless other humans with guns attacked but I just wouldn't trust them anyway. |

I think I everyone brought up in a city or lack of agricultural skills would die eventually we wouldn't know were or how to get a life time of fresh food and fresh water. Everything in the cities would stop working including tap water and left over food would rot. The best hope for me would be to look for a beach as fast as possible so I can filter salt water so I wouldn't run out of something to drink. |

Steal a fishing boat with a huge fishing net or crab/lobster pots. There are also old abandoned sea forts from the second world war off the east coast of Britain. They'd be ideal. Oil rigs too. |

Yeah that was one of the many ideas I had, need to learn how to work a boat. When it inevitably happens I'm just going to experiment with them rather than run away, see how they react to sound, smell etc to have an edge over unprepared folk. I know someone who has a claymore, will be seeing if that's still there when it starts. If you're going to go out, go out wielding a massive sword that's my philosophy. Also stalk people and try get them bitten to study the infection if needed. |

Boats are really easy. Just turn on the ignition and steer. |

i find it comical how youre saying in another thread that humanity should be wiped out because of the harm we cause, yet everything you're saying regarding hypothetical apocalypses, if you're serious, is completely void of what's stopping humanity from being s***-ridden: compassion. |

How are they contradictory? That's just part of how I'd survive, the world would still eventually be better off without humans driving cars around and whatnot. Whatever I got up to after the apocalypse started wouldn't make a difference anyway I am one person not billions. I think you've missed the point of what I meant by humans being crap. And yeah that part of boats is easy but what about when the sea is really choppy or if you run out of fuel, plus navigating in the emptyness. Boating school may be worthwhile after all... |

This is void of what makes humans suck because it's not about that it's about a zombie apocalypse, it would be good. Not good for humans but good for everything else here. Unless it was like the T-Virus in the RE movies which somehow makes the whole planet a desert, then it would be bad but that makes no sense anyway. |

oh yeah you're right. a hypothetical situation totally justifies that kind of thinking. i apologise for completely missing that and I shall spend the next few days contemplating my own morals. |
